Izabela Kapera PhD, DSc, Associate Professor

Izabela Kapera works in the Faculty of Management, Media and Technology and the Faculty of Law at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. She completed her doctoral studies at Jagiellonian University, where she was awarded a doctorate for a thesis supervised by Professor Antoni Jackowski. In 2020, she was awarded the degree of doktor habilitowany (habilitation). Since 2021, she has held the position of University Professor at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Kraków University.
She is also a graduate of the Specialised Programme in Journalism offered by the Faculty of Humanities at the Commission of National Education Pedagogical Academy in Kraków, now the University of the National Education Commission, Krakow. She also completed the Programme in Management and Business at the Department of Applied Economics, Faculty of Law and Administration, Jagiellonian University.
Throughout her professional career, she has integrated her interest in tourism into her professional, journalistic and academic work. She began her career in the tourism industry as a tourism inspector before becoming involved in journalistic and editorial work and, subsequently, academic research. She is the author of numerous reviews and scholarly publications on tourism, published both nationally and internationally. She has also supervised a considerable number of Master’s and Bachelor’s dissertations.
In 2016, she received the Rector’s Honorary Distinction from the University of Physical Education in Kraków in recognition of her outstanding achievements in academic research. In 2019, she was awarded the Rector’s Prize of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University for her research activities in 2018.
