Dr. Svitlana Chugaievska holds a PhD in Economics and is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Management, Media, and Technology at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. She holds a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Zhytomyr (Ukraine). She earned her PhD in Economics from the Institute of Agrarian Economics of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (dissertation on enterprise integration processes in Ukraine).
Her research interests focus on labor market economics, international migration, socio-demographic changes, migration policy, regional development, and statistical methods for analyzing socio-economic phenomena. Her research focuses on the impact of war migration from Ukraine on the labor market in Poland and Europe, as well as on migrant integration processes.
She is the author of over 150 scientific publications, including monographs, articles, and chapters in national and international publications. She has presented her research findings at numerous scientific conferences in Europe. She has participated in and led international research projects funded by, among others, the Volkswagen Foundation (Germany) and the Institute of International Education Scholar Rescue Fund (USA), regarding the social and economic consequences of migration caused by the war in Ukraine.
