PhD in chemical sciences specializing in organic chemistry, graduate from Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University, Cracow. Postdoctoral stay founded by the Legerlotz Fundation at the University of Zurich in 2003-2004. Employee in the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University since 2005.
His scientific research in the field of organic chemistry concerned mainly the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds of potential biological activity, with application of the Diels-Alder reactions in heterodiene systems, Michael addition reactions, as well as domino reactions, that is spontaneous sequences of consecutive reactions.
In 2003 and 2004, during the postdoctoral stay at the University of Zurich, he conducted research on synthesis of peptides containing sulfur atoms introduced selectively into the peptide bonds, as well as on expansion reactions of azirine rings, leading to cyclic peptide derivatives.
Cooperation with the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University since 2005, where he took part in the organization of study in environmental protection. Since 2008 a research associate. In 2009-2012 he served as a vice-dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management and in 2012 – 2017 as a vice-dean of the Faculty of Management and Social Communication. His current teaching activity is connected with medicine and cosmetology studies.
His scientific activity in the AFM Krakow University concerns the chemistry of cosmetic raw materials as well as the issues of safety of cosmetics.
In his spare time he is interested in railway photography.
